PRIVATE EXECUTIVE ADVISORY
When the situation is too consequential for a standard engagement.
Some leadership situations are too consequential to force into a program.
A new role. A succession question. A difficult board. A fractured leadership team. A politically complicated transition. A high-stakes decision with no obvious right answer.
For CEOs, founders, and senior executives navigating situations like these, I design the advisory relationship around the work itself.
The structure follows the reality.
Request a Private ConversationThe higher you rise, the less useful generic advice becomes.
At senior levels, the challenge is rarely a lack of intelligence.
It is usually some combination of:
- incomplete information
- competing priorities
- interpersonal and political complexity
- consequences that extend well beyond you
- decisions that cannot be delegated
- and fewer people who can tell you the truth without an agenda
You may not need another framework.
You may need someone who can understand the whole system quickly, challenge your thinking, notice what you are missing, and stay close enough to the work to help when the situation changes.
That is what this relationship is built for.
Bigger Role
The title changed. The expectations changed faster.
Clarify the terrain, reset key relationships, and lead at the altitude the role now requires.
Major Transition
The org chart changed. The human system changed with it.
See what is shifting, anticipate the impact, and lead the transition with greater steadiness.
High-Stakes Decision
You have the data. The right answer still isn’t obvious.
Pressure-test the options, surface what you may be missing, and decide with greater clarity.
Political Complexity
The formal structure rarely tells you the whole story.
Read the power, trust, timing, and relationships shaping what is possible before you move.
Strain & Uncertainty
The stakes are rising, and people are watching how you respond.
Stay grounded enough to think clearly, communicate honestly, and lead without adding volatility.
Multiple Pressures
Real executive life rarely delivers one clean problem at a time.
See the connections, sort the competing demands, and decide what requires your attention first.
We start with the situation. Not the methodology.
I have frameworks. Assessments. Tools. Decades of experience.
But none of them gets to decide what we work on.
The work is shaped by what is actually happening.
That may mean we spend one conversation preparing for a difficult board meeting and the next looking at a pattern in how you respond to conflict.
We may map stakeholders, examine team dynamics, review feedback, pressure-test a decision, prepare for a succession conversation, or simply slow down long enough to see something that urgency has made difficult to see.
The method serves the moment.
Not the other way around.
The relationship is bespoke. The rigor is not.
- Private executive advisory conversations
- Real-time counsel around consequential decisions
- Between-session access when something important is unfolding
- Executive assessment and development work
- Stakeholder interviews or reputation feedback
- Sponsor and succession mapping
- Board, investor, or executive team preparation
- Leadership-team observation
- Decision and conflict debriefs
- Organizational and political-system mapping
- Transition planning
- Strategic reflection at pivotal momentsÂ
Some engagements are highly focused. Others become a longer-term advisory relationship across multiple chapters of leadership.
We determine the structure after we understand the work.
The questions are rarely small.
What is actually happening here?
What am I not seeing?
Where am I reacting rather than choosing?
What is the political reality beneath the formal one?
What decision will I still respect a year from now?
Â
Â
These are not questions that benefit from generic answers.
They benefit from context.
Compassionate. Candid. Practical.
Tell you the truth
Including when I think you are missing something.
Stay close to the human dynamics
Because strategy rarely fails on strategy alone.
Respect your agency
You are the executive. You make the decision.
Work with what is live
Not what happened to be on the coaching agenda.
Â
Insight matters. What changes because of it matters more.
Composure. Resonance. Judgment.
Three capacities sit underneath much of my work.
COMPOSURE
Stay at choice when pressure rises.
RESONANCE
Understand how others experience you under pressure.
JUDGMENT
See clearly enough to make the next consequential move.
You do not need perfection in any of the three.
You need enough access to them when the stakes are highest.
I have carried the responsibility.
I began my career as a barista and became a chief executive in less than ten years.
Along the way, I led teams, transformations, integrations, and a $500 million business.
For more than 15 years since, I have coached and advised senior leaders across some of the world’s most complex organizations.
I have been the person in the room expected to have the answer.
And I have been the person sitting beside the leader who knows there may not be one.
That combination shapes how I work.
I understand the human reality of carrying responsibility, not just the theory of leadership around it.

This relationship is not for everyone.
It is likely a strong fit if:
- the stakes are real
- you are willing to look honestly at your own leadership
- you value candor over reassurance
- you want someone who can move between the personal, relational, strategic, and organizational levels
- and you are willing to do something with what we discover
It may not be the right fit if you are looking primarily for accountability, motivation, or a predetermined coaching curriculum.
Scope follows the work.
Private Executive Advisory is designed around the complexity, access, duration, and organizational involvement the situation requires.
Some relationships are short and highly focused.
Others extend across a year or more.
We determine the appropriate structure and investment after the initial conversation.
Some situations deserve more than a standard engagement.
If you are navigating something consequential, complex, or difficult to name cleanly, we should talk.
We will spend 45 minutes understanding what is happening, what you are trying to accomplish, and whether I am the right person to help.
